Double Cleansing helps to optimize the results of the wonderful ingredients of your serum, mask, and/or hydrator from your night routine. We always want to maximize absorption of your products and that will happen as long as your skin is clean enough!
How to Use
Step 1: Jojoba & Poppy Cleansing Oil — Step 2: Green Tea Citrus Cleanser
This is the original version of the double cleanse. Jojoba & Poppy Cleansing Oil is the absolute best for this method!
The goal of the oil-based cleanser is to breakdown and soften excess oil, dirt, makeup, etc. This is especially good for oily skin types. If you think of the fact that oil and water don’t mix, it should make sense that an oil cleanser is what will help breakdown oils on your skin.
Be sure to apply this to dry skin — remember, oil and water don’t mix! ;-)
Common Question: Can I use pure oils? ie. Coconut or Olive Oil
It’s not recommended! — Pure oils are very thick and don’t easily rinse off. This is no good for oily, sensitive, or acne prone skin because that layer/film of oil left on the surface of the skin can cause breakouts!
The 2nd cleanse is to be applied to damp skin. The Green Tea Citrus Cleanser is now in a much better position to reach the actual skin and begin cleansing it!
